With its population of 2500, Bellingen is a thriving small
town, well known as the creative hub of the region.The town
has a number of art and print galleries to explore and cafes
to relax in, and a choice of friendly holiday accommodation.
There is good eating and good shopping in Bellingen, as
well as at the community markets held on the third Saturday
of
each month.
For those with the time, you could come for a week and attend
either:
Camp Creative, the annual creative arts summer school, offering
a wide range of activities guided by top-class tutors, held at the Bellingen High School.

Our
annual Jazz Festival weekend, held in August, when music
fills the streets and venues throughout the town.
The Global Carnival,
a feast of world music, held over the October long weekend.
The
town itself has several galleries, many arts and crafts shops
as well as many eateries, and holiday accommodation.
